Wedding Boyne Highlands Chapel Harbor Springs, MI

Intimate family Wedding of Katy and Bill high atop the mountain at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs, Michigan.  The original plan was to ride the chairlift up to the Chapel and get married until the weather was rainy in the morning and made for some damp chairlifts.  We took a rugged road up the mountainside to the Chapel instead.  The Chapel is beautiful and is a perfect location in nature to get Married.  There were a total of 18 people with the Wedding and we had a nice time together.

Following the Wedding Ceremony at the Boyne Highlands Chapel the Wedding party made their way down to the cocktail hour on the patio at the lodge.

Chandlers Restaurant Wine Cellar Wedding Reception Petoskey,  MI

The Wedding Reception and dinner took place at Chandlers Restaurant Wine Cellar in downtown Petoskey, Michigan. The Wine Cellar at Chandlers has a lot of character.  They have enough different wines to satisfy even the professional winos.

There was just a short list of Wedding Vendors and Wedding details for the day. The Bride wore a beautiful white Prada Wedding Dress with these cool pockets.  She also wore white Stuart Weitzman Wedding shoes.  She looked beautiful, and comfortable in her dress and shoes.  Very elegant!

Get Married at Hotel Iroquois on Mackinac Island, MI

Just a short walk from all of the Mackinac Island ferries is a Wedding location on Mackinac Island called Hotel Iroquois on the beach.  You can elope to Mackinac Island, get married right on the water, in a nice landscaped lawn, and then have a reception at a beautiful restaurant with windows that wrap all the way around the building and provide tons of light.

Elise and Thomas did just that last week.  They came up to Mackinac Island from their home in Tennessee and brought family with them to get married on an Mackinac Island.  There were twelve total family members that attended the Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception at the Carriage House at the Hotel Iroquois.  The clouds were rolling through but the weather held off long enough for them.

Perry Hotel Wedding Petoskey | Katie & Eric Married!

The marvelous Wedding of Katie and Eric at Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey, Michigan.  Katie and Eric are from the Chicago, Illinois area and planned a destination Wedding in Northern Michigan along Lake Michigan.  The Perry Hotel is a beautiful venue with outdoor locations for your Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception. Mission Point Resort Wedding | Mackinac Island, MI

Congratulations Abigail and Jeremy!  You guys ROCK.  What a wonderful Wedding with family and close friends in an intimate location like the gazebo at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

Planning a Wedding on Mackinac Island, Michigan?

The afternoon Wedding ceremony at the Gazebo at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island was beautifully placed inside the circle of flowers.  The skies were clear and it was a fabulous day in Michigan.  The bride was wearing a beautiful white wedding dress by Oleg Cassini.

She had her hair and makeup done right at Mission Point Resort at 7th Heaven Salon. The bride and groom had their flowers completed by Weber’s Floral and Gift. The bride and groom took a 1.5 hour horse drawn carriage ride around Mackinac Island with Me following, and leading, on my bike.  The Wedding was catered by Mission Point Resort on the outdoor patio near the bocce ball court.  The bride and groom played crochet and bocce ball.  There was a cocktail hour under the tent which was set up for the occasion.   Bella e Dolce completed six custom cakes for the Mackinac Wedding tables. They were beautiful and delicious! Mackinac Island Wedding The Inn at Stonecliffe

Friday I was blessed again to spend the afternoon on Mackinac Island, Michigan for a Wedding at The Inn at Stonecliffe.  Amy and Charlie are two cool cats!  We had a great time together.   Amy is an absolute beauty, and Charlie is a handsome lad as well. When I arrived to the Wedding the clouds were thick and the overcast and it looked like rain.  But, oh no, my friend, the clouds cleared and Amy and Charlie’s beautiful smile beamed during the day. The couple is from Chicago, Illinois and planned this beautiful destination wedding on Mackinac Island, Michigan.  Amy had an idea in her head what she wanted on her Wedding day and her matron of honor, Tara, from Invitations by Design, helped her dream come true.   Tara’s designs and over-the-top details added that special touch to Amy and Charlie’s Wedding day.  You can see a bunch of the products that Tara produced in the slideshows below.  Anything on paper Tara did and will do for you too.  Call her and let her design your invitations, programs, signs, speech cards, seating chart, menus, thank yous, or anything you can imagine.

The Wedding theme for the day was Mackinac Island and bicycles.  They had bicycles on their Wedding cake and lots of bicycles on the signs and details.  The Wedding cake was designed by Bella e Dolce and was stunning.

Mackinac Island Wedding at Little Stone Church

Kristin and Andrew are Married!  They had originally planned on 100 people or less and when they said they were getting married on beautiful Mackinac Island the plans changed quickly, everyone wanted to come.  The end result…180 guests!  All the people added a little flair to the day and it brightened up the rainy skies. It was great to see a family and a group of friends come together to celebrate after a tragic loss of a father.  What a whirlwind this family has been through but they made the day shine!   Thank you for being so willing to have fun and experiment even with the on and off rain and wet grounds. The Wedding was at The Little Stone Church on Mackinac Island, Michigan, a Michigan Historic site, at 2pm with the reception following at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, Michigan

Wedding The Grand Hotel Porch Mackinac Island, Mi

Beautiful porch Wedding at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan in Northern Michigan.  Abbie and Gary were fabulous, beautiful, and perfect!  The day started out with heavy overcast and opened wide up for a bright sunny afternoon and evening.  The Wedding took place on the Porch of The Grand Hotel on the West end.  A large section of the Porch was reserved for the Wedding and the drinks and orderves to follow.  People were sitting on The Grand Hotel Porch watching the Wedding take place from a distance. The Wedding began with a processional down the entire length of the Porch with the bagpiper Gregor MacGregor.  It was a fantastic show for everyone involved.  It brought tears to the eyes of the family as the bride followed behind in her beautiful white Wedding dress.  My hair on my arms stood up too. Marti Haines does a great job for The Grand Hotel as their Wedding Coordinator.  She was in contact with me and briefed me on everything as the day progressed.  Thank you very much Marti for your help and professionalism.  You can contact Marti by calling The Grand Hotel at 1.800.33.GRAND. Kelly and her crew from Margaret’s Garden did just a perfect job on the flowers for the day.  Since this was an intimate Wedding the bride and groom had flowers for everyone attending.  Margaret’s Garden also did the centerpieces for the Pioneer Room dinner.  All of the flowers were fresh and they smelled wonderful!

The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is just a perfect location for your Wedding.  There are plenty of Wedding locations on the premise for you to choose from.  They can accommodate both large and small Weddings.  This particular Grand Hotel Porch Wedding had a total of 14 people.  They had the Pontiac Room for a small dinner in the evening.  My time with them was from before the Wedding until the middle of the horse carriage ride around Mackinac Island.  You can contact The Grand Hotel at the number and website below.

Cross in the Woods | Emmet County Fairgrounds

Erin and Jon are Married!  What a lovely Wedding Ceremony at The Cross in the Woods in Indian River and Wedding Reception at Emmet County Fairgrounds in Petoskey, Michigan.  The combination of the two locations makes for a perfect day. Since the rains had just subsided and the skies had not totally cleared the Wedding Ceremony was held inside the church at The Cross in the Woods instead of outdoors where the couple had originally planned.  This is one huge advantage with this Wedding location because both spots are just perfect! The skies opened up and we made our way to East Park on Lake Michigan and then to Bay Harbor, Michigan where there was a Car and Boat show happening.  We had a little bit of time for some fun with the camera and the Wedding party. The Emmet County Fairgrounds facility is perfect for a Wedding Reception and the craftman style building is a cool design with lots of room.  All the vendors enjoyed their time at the Emmet County Fairgrounds facility.

Wedding at Old Presque Isle Lighthouse | Kaelie/Chris

Kaelie and Chris tied the knot at the Old Presque Isle Lighthouse in Northeast lower Michigan on Lake Huron.  It was a small ceremony with a reception following at the groom’s parents house on Lake Huron.  Both beautiful locations, lots of sun, and plenty of fun.

The couple, family, and friends did all of the designing and flowers.  Everything looked like they hired Wedding Professionals.  I was especially impressed with the flower bouquets. Judge Mack was the officiant for the Wedding Ceremony. The cake was really cool and was designed by Millers Street Bakery.  They had a beach theme cake with graham cracker crumbs as sand.  It was REALLY tastey too! Beautiful Wedding day with perfect weather.  Thank you to the Presque Isle Wooden boat show for finding us a boat to take a cruise, very fun! Thursday I had the opportunity to capture the intimate Wedding of Michele and Paul at Mission Point Resort Gazebo on Mackinac Island, Michigan in Northern Michigan.  Destination Weddings on Mackinac Island are beautiful!  Come on up to Mackinac Island to have your Wedding on an island with no motorized vehicles, just horses, bikes, and walking.
